Thomas Bowles, DDS, believes that education is the foundation for good dental health. His beliefs in education, along with the support from his family, lead him to take a whole-hearted approach to patient education in dentistry. Dr. Bowles takes the time to get to know his patients and educate each one of their dental condition, needs and treatment options.

Raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Bowles was inspired by his father, who was also a family dentist. Growing up, he admired his father’s ability to help his patients live healthier lives. This inspired him to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Dr. Bowles completed his undergraduate studies at Marquette University in Milwaukee and Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. Upon receiving his degree, Dr. Bowles joined his father’s practice in Flint, Michigan. His passion for continuing education brought him to Sarasota, Florida, and to the beginning of his thriving family practice here.
Traveling to Sarasota with his wife Jennifer to attend a mini-residency in TMJ Disorders, Dr. Bowles fell in love with the city. They took one look out over the city and bay from their hotel balcony and they knew they had found their new home. After moving to the area in 2005, Dr. Bowles opened his practice with a vision of providing high quality dental care with a very personal touch. He and Jennifer started their family and now have three children, Blake, born in 2006 and twins, Parker and Hayden, born in 2009.
Dr. Bowles approaches each patient with a goal of creating a total well-being of their oral hygiene and health. Focusing first on the foundation of dental health, soft tissue (gum) health, he creates an individualized plan that works both functionally and financially. Comprehensive examinations and patient education play key roles – ensuring each patient understands their dental condition, needs, and treatment options.
Garrett A Karow, DMD
Welcome Dr. Garrett A. Karrow D.M.D., P.A.!
Dr. Garrett Karow is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist, a proud graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, consistently ranked in the top three schools in the nation. With a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, Dr. Karow has dedicated thousands of hours to advanced training across a wide range of disciplines, including root canal therapy, aesthetic and complex restorative dentistry, oral surgery, implantology, IV sedation, orthodontics, laser dentistry, and digital dentistry.
Dr. Karow holds advanced certifications in several cutting-edge areas of dental practice, including CAD/CAM 3D digital dentistry, ALD laser certification, and is a gold-level provider of Invisalign. He also holds a moderate IV sedation permit and has achieved advanced certifications in implantology, ensuring he remains at the forefront of modern dental techniques.
Driven by a mission to provide personalized care, Dr. Karow believes every patient is unique, and so is their smile. He takes the time to connect with his patients, fostering a relationship built on trust and open communication. By understanding their specific needs and goals, he is able to deliver tailored, effective solutions that prioritize both function and aesthetics.
A native of Florida, Dr. Karow enjoys spending his free time boating, fishing, and soaking up the sun with his young family. He is also deeply committed to giving back to his community and has volunteered hundreds of hours providing dental services through organizations such as the Freedom Clinic, Sulzbacher Clinic, We Care, and Remote Area Medical Corps.

Hi, I am Destany! I believe that everyone has a right to be educated on their oral health since it has everything to do with their overall health. Growing up, I was raised by a single mother and didn’t always have the ability to go to the dentist. I started college early at the age of 16 and soon after realized I wanted to try dental. I graduated as a certified dental assistant in 2012 at MTI and later went back to school to graduate as a certified registered dental hygienist in 2017 at SCF. As a native to Sarasota, when I am not working I enjoy being outdoors, doing artwork, going to the gym, being active in my church, spending time with family and pets! Oral health is the window to your overall health. I take pride in career making it a priority to make my passion known.

Born in West Warwick, RI, I moved to Bradenton, FL with my family in 1979 and never left this paradise. I went into the Dental Assisting Program right after high school and moved to administrative in 2012. I have enjoyed dentistry and seeing all of the transformations over the years that have created beautiful smiles and changed people’s lives. I am a mom of two beautiful daughters and now am blessed with two grandchildren and another on the way. I also have a four-year-old female Havanese puppy named Annabelle. It’s a privilege to be a part of this awesome team!

Native to Ecuador, I moved to Long Island, NY in 1995 where I met my wonderful husband. We have two beautiful children, a 13-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old girl. After my husband retired from the NYPD in 2020, we made the decision to move to Venice, FL to enjoy our lives surrounded by beautiful weather and beaches. I graduated as a dental assistant in 2002 and worked in Pediatric Dentistry for 18 years. After moving to Florida, I was given the opportunity to work in General Dentistry with Dr Bowles and Dr Karow. I feel blessed and fortunate to be able to work in an office full of talented and compassionate people, that genuinely care about their patients, and dental needs.
